Real Life is a peer-to-peer mentoring program
for refugee and immigrant youth.
We support students afterschool with academic help, life skills, and meaningful relationships. Real Life aims to create spaces where students feel safe, seen, and capable.

Real Life meets students where they are academically, socially, and emotionally.
We focus on three core areas:
Academic Support
Mentorship and Belonging
Life Skills
Students receive homework help from peer mentors who show up consistently and care deeply.
Through peer-to-peer mentoring, students build friendships and trust, learning that they are not alone.
Students learn practical skills like communication, financial literacy, and college preparedness.

Real Life began in 2010 to bridge the gap in services for refugee and immigrant youth. Students face barriers beyond the classroom such as language, isolation, and limited access to resources.
Real Life exists to ensure young people are not navigating these challenges alone.
